Objective: Celebrate Orange County’s cultural roots through a collaboration with a global creative icon.








SUMMARY
For Orange County SC, building a football culture goes beyond the pitch. To launch a campaign that felt true to the spirit of OC, we leaned into its punk rock heritage and partnered with global tattoo legend, Tokyo Hiro.
Hiro is one of the rare creatives who embodies Orange County more than Los Angeles, even in a region where most celebrities prefer to claim LA. He learned his craft in LA studios, built his reputation in Japan, and went on to ink icons from Queen to Ed Sheeran. Yet through it all, he has remained unapologetically connected to OC.
Together, we created a campaign that blurred the lines between football, music, and art. Hiro’s bold visuals captured the edge and authenticity of Orange County, while his story gave fans a reason to feel proud of their club’s cultural DNA.
A proud football supporter himself, Hiro believes every city deserves its team. With this campaign, he showed that Orange County’s team is more than just a club. It is a statement of identity.
